Management Analyst/Deputy Clerk

The Village of River Forest is seeking an energetic, results-oriented individual to join the Village’s management team in the role of Management Analyst/Deputy Village Clerk.  This position will support the activities of the Village Administrator’s office and Village Board of Trustees.  The Management Analyst/Deputy Village Clerk is responsible for the preparation and processing of legislative documents, acting as the Village’s FOIA officer and supporting the Village’s public engagement, communication and transparency efforts.  The position will have exposure to and participate in the Village’s collective bargaining and budgeting processes, and will attend and participate in internal and external meetings as a representative of the organization.

This position requires an individual with strong communication and organization skills as well as excellent attention to detail.  This position also requires strong interpersonal skills, a desire to provide outstanding customer service, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a team environment. 

This position requires a minimum of one to three years of work experience in a municipal government or public body and a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in public or business administration, political science, public policy, or a related field.  A Master’s Degree in Public Administration (or ability to obtain Master’s Degree within approximately six months of hire) is strongly preferred.

The salary range for this full-time, exempt position is $61,467-$89,404 plus an excellent benefits package.  Starting salary is DOQ.   This position will be required to attend Village Board Meetings.
