Inspections are required to ensure that the work being completed meets applicable codes. It is the permit applicant's responsibility to call and schedule an inspection. Failed inspections require a re-inspection which carries a $75 re-inspection fee.
Please note that new inspection requests can be made online by logging in at riverforest.onlama.com. Go to "Your Account" at the top of the page, select "Your Items" and click on "Schedule an Inspection" for the applicable permit. A confirmation email will be sent to the permit applicant as soon as the inspection is scheduled.

- Project Number
- Type of Inspection
- Desired Day and Time for Inspection
- Name and Phone Number of Person Requesting the Inspection
The Village utilizes B & F Technical Code Services to complete Electrical and Plumbing inspections. The inspectors from B & F will be wearing B & F clothing but will not be driving a Village of River Forest vehicle. If you are concerned about the legitimacy of an inspector, please call the Village at the number listed above.
