St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1530 Jackson in River Forest, will be accommodating a funeral visitation today, Friday, January 24, 2020 from 4-8pm. The Visitation is expected to be attended by a large number of people and vehicles. Community members are asked to avoid the area near the location to reduce traffic congestion. The River Forest Police Department, and officers from other Departments, will be deployed to the area to assist with traffic and parking concerns.
St. Vincent Ferrer Church will also be the site for the Funeral Mass tomorrow, Saturday, January 25, 2020. The Funeral Mass is scheduled to begin at 10am. The River Forest Police Department, with the assistance of officers from other Departments, will be posting No Parking Signs on Le Moyne from Lathrop to Jackson, Lathrop from North Avenue to Le Moyne, and Jackson from North Avenue to Le Moyne. The request is for no vehicles to park in these areas from 9am-12pm on January 25, 2020. Additionally, these roadways will be closed to through traffic during these times. There will be a traffic lane accessible to residents on the affected streets to allow access to their homes and driveways.
Trinity High School, 7574 Division in River Forest, has offered the use of the parking lot for the Visitation and Funeral. Shuttle bus service will be available to and from St. Vincent Ferrer Church.
