Three Suspects Arrested After Vehicle Linked to Armed Robberies in Melrose Park, LaGrange Park

On January 27, 2026, at approximately 6:15 a.m., River Forest Police officers attempted to stop a vehicle near the 400 block of Ashland Avenue. The vehicle was later confirmed to have been involved in armed robberies in Melrose Park and LaGrange Park. Three suspects fled on foot, prompting a perimeter to be established in the surrounding area.

 The first suspect was taken into custody in the 1200 block of Lathrop Avenue around 6:38 a.m., and the second suspect was apprehended shortly after also in the 1200 block of Lathrop Avenue. At approximately 7:12 a.m., a third suspect was reported fleeing northbound and was also arrested in the 1200 block of Lathrop Avenue by 7:18 a.m.. The offenders’ vehicle was recovered and towed from the scene.

All suspects are now in custody. No injuries were reported. The investigation remains ongoing.
