A Special E-News Message from the Village President, Catherine Adduci

July 17, 2020

Dear River Forest Residents,

COVID-19 Update

The Governor and the Illinois Department of Public Health have announced a new COVID-19 mitigation plan the State will apply in the event it experiences spikes in cases like those that have occurred recently across the country. This plan focuses on combating a resurgence of cases while maintaining the progress Illinois has made during the past few months. Please click here for a link to the plan, which expands health regions to eleven total and separates Chicago into its own region. River Forest is now a part of the Suburban Cook region.

Click here for an update on the cases in River Forest.

The Centers for Disease Control have made a variety of toolkits available, which include print-outs to remind people sharing spaces, such as offices or multi-family housing, to wear face coverings and maintain social distancing. Click here to view the toolkits.

For additional  information, log on to the Illinois Department of Public Health

Heatwave this Weekend

A heatwave is expected in the area this weekend. The heat index is estimated to be over 100 degrees on Saturday. Please check in on your neighbors, especially our seniors.

New this fall - you may submit the Ballot Return Envelope in a secured drop box at any Cook County Early Voting location, or you can still use standard US mail.
