The Village of River Forest will once again host a section of the Wounded Warrior Project Soldier Ride on Thursday, September 16, 2021. The ride starts at 9:30 AM near Chicago and Thatcher and will wind through River Forest and other surrounding communities. The River Forest Police Department and River Forest Fire Department will assist in the event.
Wounded Warrior Project is a non-profit organization that works to honor and empower wounded service members returning home with a multitude of medical issues, and helps them readjust to civilian life. This year marks the 13th Annual Chicago area Soldier Ride. Click here for a route of the ride and approximate times when the participants will reach specific locations.
