On Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at approximately 7:21 PM, River Forest Police were dispatched to a call of an Armed Robbery that just occurred at Puff's Discount Cigarettes on Madison in River Forest. The offender entered the business and spoke to the store clerk before displaying a gun and announcing a robbery.
The offender stole cash from two registers and a small cigar box as well as an iPad before leaving the store and running eastbound on Madison. The subject was wearing an all red sweatsuit and gloves.
This incident is consistent with other Armed Robberies in the region. There were no injuries and there are no known additional threats to the area.
