In celebration of Seniors Week, The River Forest Police Department will be hosting a special seminar titled Fraud and Scams: A Crime Prevention Approach. The seminar will take place on Monday, May 16th at 11 am in the Community Room at the River Forest Village Hall. Crime Prevention and Elderly Services Officer Ben Ransom will speak to attendees on how senior residents are targeted through various scams and schemes. The seminar aims to empower attendees to make safe decisions when encountering a scam. Attendees will be provided an open forum to ask questions, discuss their experiences, and learn from one another.
