Make spring cleaning more sustainable with the Forest Preserve District of Cook County's 2nd Annual Trash Bash from 10am-2pm at Miller Meadow Forest Preserve on Saturday, 6th. Event partners will be collecting electronics, prescription drugs, books, musical instruments, bikes, clothing and more. The first 50 donors receive free “Don’t be Trashy” t-shirt. The next Repair Cafe event will be on Saturday, April 6th. The Repair Cafe offers an opportunity for your broken electronic items to be repaired by a crew of skilled volunteers free of chart. Located at 624 S. Oak Park Ave in the Fox Center in Oak Park, Repair Cafe is open the first Saturday of every month from 10am-1:30pm. For more information, click here.

Participate in the 4th Annual River Forest Bike Exchange on Saturday, April 13, organized by District 90 Green4Good. Between 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Roosevelt Middle School playground, you can bring bikes you have outgrown and look for ones that may suit your current needs.

Foam products with the #6 symbol are not accepted as part of the Village's single stream recycling program with our waste hauler, LRS. To help keep polystyrene (styrofoam) out of our landfills, D90's Green4Good Team together with the Village of River Forest will host a foam collection event on Saturday, April 20 from 9-12 am in the West Thatcher Metra Commuter Lot.
