Beginning February 1, 2019, the Village of River Forest is transferring to an online permit portal. The only way to purchase permits is online. Current permit holders must log in to the new website and set up auto-renew to maintain an active permit. To get started today, visit vrfpermits.rmcpay.com.
River Forest residents may purchase a monthly parking pass and park in the lot next to the train station (east or west sides of Thatcher Ave), on Hawthorne Avenue (between Thatcher & Keystone), and on the north side of Central Avenue (between Edgewood and Thatcher) - these areas are designated in green on this Commuter Parking Map (West).
Additional monthly parking passes are available for the area near the Green Line Station at Harlem Avenue. The designated parking area is along the south side of Central Avenue, just west of Harlem Avenue - designated in green on this Commuter Parking Map (East).
Day Only
Currently, there is a waiting list for "Day Only" ($55 as of June 1, 2020) Monthly Permits. Please note that Monthly Permits are only available to River Forest residents.
